Our Commitment to Your Privacy
March into May values your trust and respects the privacy of your personal and program site information. As part of our commitment to you, we want you to be informed about our policies to protect and safeguard your information.

We promise to use information about you in a responsible way. We do not sell or distribute your information to outside marketers or solicitators. When we do share information within or outside the March into May program for opportunities we feel will help you reach your health and wellness goals, we follow strict standards, and we maintain confidentiality policies regarding the use of program information. Our aim is always to deliver improved service and a quality program to meet your needs.

Privacy Policy
March into May employees and volunteers should regard all information they have access to or are given as a result of their program responsibility as being confidential unless advised otherwise. No information should be released to a third party without first seeking the agreement of the program committee/and or the individual concerned, as appropriate.

March into May has a duty to safeguard the information contained within registration forms etc.

Employees and volunteers should not disclose site or personal details (contact info, physical activity status, etc) to clients and should use the March into May program contact information when this information has to be given.

Employees and volunteers have the right to access their own personal records including registration, tracking form, etc. Should you wish to see these records, it can be arranged through the Program Coordinator.

Data Protection
All personal and site information (computerized or otherwise recorded) collected and held by the program is covered under our confidentiality policy. The policy requires all those using or collecting the information to abide by certain key principles.
The key principles state that data must be –
  • obtained and processed fairly and lawfully
  • held for only the purpose described in the March into May vision, mission, and goals
  • used only for those purposes, and disclosed only to appropriate people
  • adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purpose for which they are held
  • accurate and where necessary, kept up-to-date
  • safeguarded from inappropriate third party solicitation
  • appropriate third party solicitation must meet committee’s and or program manager’s approval and be shared only through occasional program updates.
